A new miniature golf course will soon provide entertainment for families in Miami County and the surrounding area.
The Miami County Economic Development Authority recently approved the purchase of one acre of land at the Estates at Eagle's Pointe by residents Kevin and Robin Johnson, who plan to build a miniature golf course there, said Jim Tidd, executive director of MCEDA.
The couple will pay $10,000 for the property located on Foreman Drive over a seven-year period.
Tidd said total investment in the business would be about $25,000.
More information about the business will be released when it becomes available.
Also at this month's meeting, Tidd announced that MCEDA officials would be attending a medical design trade show in New York on June 6-8.
He noted that this is the first time local officials will attend that type of show, and said they would be partnering with the state to cut down on the costs to attend.
"We hope to get our foot in the door in the medical design, medical device manufacturing business," Tidd explained.
