Miami County Economic Development Group Welcome to Miami County

Thank you for taking the time to visit Miami County's website. We are a pro-business community and we stand ready to assist you with your expansion or relocation goals. We are located in North Central Indiana approximately 60 miles due north of Indianapolis and approximately 70 miles south of South Bend, IN. Two major four lane US Highway systems ( US 31 & US 24) intersect in Miami County just north of our county seat of Peru. These two highway systems offer direct access to six different interstate highway systems within a 45 minute drive.

In addition to its strategic position within the State of Indiana and the Midwest, Miami County offers several other distinct advantages. Some of these advantages include a regional labor force in excess of 389,000, unique incentive opportunities, and low operating costs as well as foreign trade zone access.

Miami County is one of six partners of the North Central Indiana Economic Development Partnership (NCIEDP). This regional partnership includes the surrounding counties of Cass, Clinton, Fulton, Howard, and Tipton. The partnership promotes not only regional business attraction efforts, but business retention and expansion initiatives as well.

Miami County offers significant advantages for companies looking to expand or relocate. From several unique incentives, to its proximity to major markets, available shovel ready sites and buildings, and access to a skilled and trainable workforce, Miami County is worth your consideration for your next strategic business decision.

On behalf of our Miami County community and the North Central Indiana region, we hope that you find the contents of this website prospective, informative and beneficial. For further information, please feel free to contact our staff directly.
