Miami County Economic Development Group About Us

About Miami County EDA

The Miami County Economic Development Authority (MCEDA) is the primary economic and community development organization for Miami County, Indiana.  Miami County consists of several small communities and the county seat of Peru, Indiana. MCEDA is a unique partnership of private enterprise and government working as one for the prosperity of North Central Indiana. Our purpose is to coordinate local efforts to attract jobs and new business investment, provide assistance to existing businesses to foster growth and retention, and assist in efforts to sustain and improve the quality of life for Miami County citizens.

Community Development

The Miami County EDA is committed to maintaining and improving Miami County's attractiveness as a place to live, work, and operate a business. The Miami County EDA works closely with local, state, and federal agencies, utility companies, educational institutions, and Miami County citizens to encourage infrastructure improvements, workforce development, education quality, recreational and cultural opportunities, and housing development.

Funding

The Miami County EDA was designed to be a public/private partnership and has enjoyed support from both sectors since its inception. As the organization annually renews its commitment to county-wide economic development we ask local government and the business community to also renew their financial support of our efforts to promote economic growth.
